“Iran’s Universities Punish Students Who Disputed Vote”

While I know this is extremely current, hearing about the struggles of Iranian students who disagree with their government illicit very archaic comparisons. Their cause is extremely important and vital, but it’s amazing how much we take certain institutions in our society for granted. To me, their protests are equivalent to the American Revolution or the Humanist Renaissance. It’s unreal that hundreds of years later, freedom of speech is still new news.
