“Fight Grows Over Labels on Household Cleaners”

Consumers have a right to know what chemicals are in cleaning solutions. Companies have a right to maintain trade secrets. Both sides are fighting for a compromise.

I think transparency is vital, especially now that many brands are riding the green wave. Though GreenWorks might claim to be all natural, I still can’t understand all of the ingredients listed (take a clue from Breyers). Additionally, some products label themselves natural or organic while the fine print indicates some percentage of that is true.

This is an especially interesting time when it comes to determining what actually is safe versus what companies are telling us is safe and where legislation will be required to protect the average family.
